RUBBER TYPES

Nitrile (NBR)

It is recommended for most of the sealing elements and has a very common usage. Nitrile (NBR) is a Butadiene-Acrylonitrile (ACN) polymer. Aliphatic hydrocarbons (eg. propane, butane, petroleum) mineral oils, lubricating oils, Group H, HL, HLP type oils and greases, HFA, HFB and HFC, vegetable and animal grease oils have a good strength against light heating and diesel fuel. Different mixtures for fuels and industrial fluids are produced. Standard Nitrile mixture is recommended for use at temperatures between -30°C and + 105°C. It can be used up to + 120°C in short intervals.

HNBR

NBR is a type of elastomer obtained by hydrogenating all or part of the polymer with double bonded butadiene. HNBR with high temperature and high mechanical values compared to standard NBR mixture is recommended for use between -30 and +150°C.

Silicone

Silicone, maintains its elasticity between -60°C and 200°C. It is not recommended in dynamic applications. It has a good strength against ozone, air and oil.

Viton (FKM-Flourel)

This material with the trade name Viton or Flourel, is resistant to the grease, oil and solvent between -30°C and 225°C. It has very good resistance against many chemicals.

Neoprene (CR)

It is very resistant to rupture, tearing and abrasion between -45°C and 100°C. Resistant to flames. It is used at places where resistance to oil and atmospheric conditions is required.

Polyurethane (PU)

Excellent resistance to rupture, tearing and abrasion between -30°C and 100°C, resistant to air and ozone. Especially used as a high pressure sealing element and a shaft scraper.

Ethylene Profilen Rubber (EPDM)

It can be used between -40°C and 145°C. Resistance to phosphate, esther fluids, automotive brake fluids and fumes is very good.

Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR)

Resistant to glycol-based brake oils, inorganic acids, bases and alcohols between -50°C and 100°C.

Natural Rubber (NR)

It is used between -60°C and 100°C. It is recommended where high flexibility is required.

Polyacetal (POM)

It is a general bedding material in hydraulic-pneumatic systems. It has an excellent measuring stability at temperatures of up to 80° C. Very low water absorption is an important feature. Temperature range is between -40°C and 140°C.
